Los Angeles cultural resources
Los Angeles metropolitan area
CalArts students have access to the vast artistic and cultural offerings of Los Angeles, the second-largest metropolitan center in the United States. A place where diverse cultures and traditions meet, and an increasingly important world hub in a variety of artmaking disciplines, the city has an abundance of performing arts organizations and venues, museums, galleries, libraries and research institutions. Los Angeles also offers numerous educational and professional resources in all branches of the arts, making it possible for CalArts students to not only experience artmaking at the highest levels, but also seek out future professional opportunities in the region.
