Apply for financial aid

All applicants must submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid/Renewal Free Application for Federal Student Aid). This application must be completed by the parents of all dependent applicants. Independent applicants must complete the FAFSA themselves. There is no institutional financial aid application. International students must follow a different application procedure.

Work-study

Work-study is a jobs program for students with financial need. CalArts offers both federal work-study and institutional work-study. Work-study is a campus-based program administered by the Financial Aid Office, which sets the packaging guidelines used to award work-study. Work-study eligibility is awarded after grants, scholarships, loans and other aid for which you are entitled.

International students may be eligible for institutional work-study. Employment is limited to jobs located on campus.
