Community: StayBite showcases work that investigates, questions, and advances social justice issues in its content and/or process. StayBite includes incendiary text pieces, video screenings, original music compositions, photography, drawings, poster art and t-shirt art. Artists: Marlene Beltran, Caroline Chang, Diego Garza, Nicholas Grider, Vriginia grise, Monica Hicks, Luba Lukova, Elana Mann, Vita Rabinovich, Amanda Vigil and CAP/Digital Media Youth Participants.

THEATER: A one-man show of monologues with recorded music.

MUSIC: A short concert of a cappella choral music, ranging from the sacred to the experimental.

REDCAT: The California EAR Unit, one of the finest contemporary ensembles in America, gives the world premieres of two commissioned works by John Luther Adams and Gordon Beeferman. Inspired by Adam’s own epiphany of light after experiencing a skyscape by James Turrell, The Light Within features complex and mercurial harmonies that reflect an introspective sonic space in contrast to its companion piece, The Light That Fills the World (1999/2001).
