Jeff has an M.L.S. and M.A. in Sociology, both from Kent State University. Prior to coming to CalArts in 2004, he held numerous library positions at Kent State, including reference librarian, systems librarian, and finally the Assistant Dean for Collection Management. Jeff has published numerous articles on academic library management and several reference books on popular music. His interest in the assessment of libraries and the use of continuous improvement practices led to his role in Ohio of coordinating two statewide administrations of LibQUAL+, a survey of users’ perceptions of library services.
