Susan has an MLS from UCLA, an MBA from Bradley University, and a BA in English and French from CSU Dominguez Hills. Before coming to CalArts in 1993, she was Head, Access Services Department at the University of Colorado, Boulder; Chair, Circulation Department at CSU Northridge; and Information Services and Business Librarian at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. She has extensive experience in library automation. She has published C.S. Lewis: A Reference Guide, 1972-1988 (New York: G.K. Hall, 1993), as well as several articles on library subjects.
