Jules Engel Centenary Celebration

Join us on Jules' 100th birthday for a celebration of his life and work at the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater (REDCAT) in downtown Los Angeles. Many of Jules' former students, including Jorge Gutierrez (El Tigre), Steve Hillenberg (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Mark Kirkland (The Simpsons), will be on hand to discuss their work as well as Jules' influence on their development as artists. The proceeds of this celebration will support the Jules Engel Scholarship Fund to benefit young animators at CalArts.
